Job Description: Evaluate existing Puppet infrastructure and automation processes
Develop and deploy Puppet automation scripts, manifests etc. to achieve automation as per the requirement.
Identify gaps & challenges and propose solutions to fix and optimize the processes.
Establish overall processes & practices for development, build, deployment, operations and monitoring the day-to-day functioning of the deployment
Facilitate communication and collaboration between the development and operations teams and other stakeholders like product owners, quality assurance engineers, business analysts, etc.
Ensure that the Puppet development/automation process and operations are aligned with the business requirements and objectives.
Implement a system for smooth sharing of feedback, information, knowledge, and best practices among different teams and departments.
Promote a culture of experimentation, learning, improvement, and innovation to continuously keep the environment optimized for peak operational efficiency.

Deep understanding of Puppet infrastructure and development use cases
a. Should have strong skills in Puppet architecture, development and troubleshooting of Puppet based automation in large environment.
b. Experience in automating tasks such as deployments, admin tasks and ability to create scripts for managing and maintaining Puppet as per requirements
c. Experience in Upgrading and Migration of Puppet
d. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Should be able to resolve any issue related to Puppet development & deployments independently. Should be able to quickly isolate the problem and provide resolution to meet the SLAs
Excellent documentation skills. Should have prior experience in creating design documents etc.
