Overview
Responsible for the day-to-day administration, monitoring, and maintenance of the company's server
infrastructure. This role heavily focuses on foundational Linux operations, while providing secondary
support for Windows and VMware environments.
Core Responsibilities
Linux Administration (Primary): Provision, manage, and monitor Linux servers. Perform routine
OS patching, basic package management, and system updates.
General Infrastructure: Provide supplementary support for Windows and VMware servers. Track
overall server health, CPU, memory, and disk utilization.
Access & Security: Manage user accounts, directory permissions, and standard administrative
tasks. Assist with endpoint security maintenance (e.g., CrowdStrike) and basic compliance checks.
Incident Support: Respond to standard server incidents, monitoring alerts, and service requests.
Troubleshoot common OS and connectivity issues without needing deep architectural knowledge.
Operations & Documentation: Verify daily backups, support routine maintenance windows, and
ensure the CMDB and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are kept up to date.
Key Qualifications
Solid foundational experience administering Linux environments (e.g., user management, common
command-line tools, basic patching).
Working knowledge of standard IT infrastructure, with exposure to Windows Server and VMware

Experience using IT ticketing systems and handling standard server monitoring alerts.
