As an Tableau server admin, you will lead the effort to design, build, and configure applications Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure project milestones are met, facilitating discussions to address challenges, and guiding your team in implementing effective solutions. You will also engage in strategic planning sessions to align project goals with organizational objectives, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and involved in the process. Role & Responsiblity • Follow-ons from Migration • Content Migration Tool • Installing Desktop Apps on New Tableau Servers • Tableau Server Name change to help standardize and certify projects and data sources • SolarWinds and Tableau Integration for Advances monitoring which is scheduled for early November • Updating Job schedules to optimize environment • Add/Update/manage ODBC connection with DesktopEngineering team • Upgrade OBDC Connection Drivers & Manage Testing • Testing – Tableau ControlM job migration to Helix • Control M/Helix Job Minor updates & Management for Tableau • Support/ Resolve ServiceNow Request/incident or Azure DevOps stories • POC for Tableau Server Cloud migration (I can do this since we are currently in the middle of TBL Cloud migration at Whirlpool using Accenture Migration Accelerator) Professional & Technical Skills: • User and Group Management • Tableau Server Maintenance, Upgrades and Performance Monitoring • Manage Tableau Server licenses and track usage • Perform regular backups of Tableau Server and plan/execute for Disaster Recovery • Review & implement Tableau Server integration with other databases and applications per requirement • Support monthly patching / OS upgrade / version upgrade and validation • Support Tableau Developers if they have issue on their reports with regards to performance, guide them how to apply report best practices • Tableau Tools: Tabjolt, LogShark, TabRMD Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Tableau. - A 15 year full time education is required.
