Java Backend Developer – Spring Boot, Kafka and Cloud

We are looking for a skilled Java Backend Developer with strong hands-on experience in building scalable, high-performance backend services and event-driven applications. The ideal candidate should have solid expertise in Java, Spring Boot and Kafka, along with practical exposure to any cloud platform. The role requires close collaboration with client stakeholders, business teams and engineering teams to deliver reliable technology solutions for enterprise-scale applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and support event-driven applications and messaging solutions using Kafka.
• Develop REST APIs and microservices aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
• Work with cloud-based environments and contribute to deployment, monitoring and troubleshooting activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, product owners and client stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews and production support activities.
• Ensure code quality, scalability, reliability and performance across application components.
Must-Have Skills:
• Strong hands-on experience in Java development.
• Proven experience with Spring Boot and microservices-based application development.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka for messaging or event-driven architecture.
• Experience with any cloud platform such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, CI/CD practices, troubleshooting and production support.
Good-to-Have Skills:
• PySpark and Databricks experience.
• Azure App Service exposure.
• Kubernetes knowledge for container orchestration.
• Apache Flink experience for stream processing.
• Experience with scripting languages, preferably Python.
• Prior experience in Investment Banking or BFSI domain.
