Job Description:
Server installation and configuration, migrations, tuning, patching, administration & monitoring as window admin including integration and validation with RTI’s server support systems (i.e. Defender, Sentinel) both security and operational.
Documentation of the Builds.
Notify defined community of Patching activity
Maintain Patching calendar
Deploy s/w for automation of patches/update• monitor deployment of patches/update
Manually deploy any patches/updates not included in automation
Do performance tuning, VM upgrades, and resource optimization and ensure availability of Windows VMs via backup and DR procedures.
Application of OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure/add new services as necessary.
Handling Certificate renewals, encryption, OS related security vulnerabilities along with remediation as per policies
Develop and maintain documentation and SOPs for cloud environments and deployments. publish / maintain the list of Windows servers, Including Backup strategy and procedure, DR strategy and procedure, Patching strategy and procedure
Effective collaboration with infrastructure teams, application development teams, testing and release teams
Ensure all administrative procedures are followed. Maintain server uptime and its performance. Identify, monitor and report on performance and capacity of critical resources for Windows servers, remediation of critical capacity / performance issues.
Provide weekly reports on parameters such as CPU, memory and disk, Patching activities and Vulnerabilities.
Develop and maintain documentation and SOPs for cloud environments and deployments.
Installation, configuration, administration and monitoring and support for RTI clients and applications (i.e. Vshell, Solarwinds agents, Sentinel, and any RTI specified agents or software including AV software).
Implement service integration requests for service provided by Windows Server: File Share, SFTP, etc.
Develop operational plan to prevent recurrence on any declared Mis
Create kedb articles to help route trouble tickets
Resolution of SolarWinds alerts for the windows servers and sftp probes.
Monitor ServiceNow queue
Resolve tickets in servicenow queue in a timely manner
Monitor projected exhaustion on cpu/memory and resolve prior to alerts
Respond for any declared MIs involving nodes• Active participation during migrations of applications, databases, BCP and DR Drills.
Address and resolve any tickets originated from security for below-level patches/zero days
Add/update application specific user configuration as necessary based on servicenow request
Work with RTI’s GTS operations to implement GTS operations aspects of user and system access controls
Respond to alerts triggered from monitoring of SFTP servers via RTI’s monitoring solutions e.g
Solarwinds and remediation of the same in the agreed SLAs

Cloud solution patterns, cloud security, resiliency & observability, CMM architecture review, and current state & future state cloud architecture, create future infrastructure cost estimate for accurate forecasting
Additionally, they facilitate collaboration between teams, develop detailed solutions and designs, align with enterprise cloud migration strategies, collaborate with vendors, engineering teams, and enterprise/application architects
They also focus on continuous improvement of practices, measuring and reporting project deliverables with the help of the engineering team, facilitating architecture discussions, reviews, and other sessions with different teams

Additionally, the resource facilitate collaboration between teams, develop detailed solutions and designs, align with enterprise cloud migration strategies, collaborate with vendors, engineering teams, and enterprise/application architects
The resource will also focus on continuous improvement of practices, measuring and reporting project deliverables with the help of the engineering team, facilitating architecture discussions, reviews, and other sessions with different teams
Identify gaps and pain points within the current state by influencing the development, communication and implementation of the RRT technology architecture
Build end-to-end solution plans in the form of roadmaps that define the future state solution, scope of solution initiatives, and solution delivery sequencing through architecture transition states

At least 6 years of experience in Terraform development.
Strong experience with infrastructure as code.
Deep understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and CircleCI.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.).
