Roles & Responsibilities (essential functions and responsibilities of the job): · Provide end-to-end leadership over monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including review and sign-off of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flows, statement of changes in net assets, and NAV reports) for Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Mutual Funds, and other complex investment vehicles. · Oversee and approve Schedules of Investments across multiple fund types, ensuring accuracy of portfolio holdings, valuation methodologies, security classifications, disclosures, and compliance with applicable reporting GAAP. · Own overall delivery governance for fund reporting, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements, NAV reporting, and investor reporting packages, while upholding high standards of quality, controls, and audit readiness. · Direct audit and regulatory reporting cycles, review supporting schedules, ensure completeness of documentation, and manage auditor interactions and client escalations with professionalism and technical authority. · Lead comprehensive oversight of NAV reporting, including final approval of valuation inputs, pricing files, expense accruals, management and performance fee calculations, and all reconciliations. Drive timely issue resolution by coordinating across accounting, valuation, technology, and operations teams. · Partner with valuation teams at a senior level, reviewing complex fair-value assessments, validating valuation adjustments for diverse investment portfolios, and ensuring alignment with audit, compliance, and regulatory standards. · Champion process improvement and standardization initiatives, designing scalable reporting frameworks, improving operating models, enhancing data flows, reducing manual touchpoints, and driving automation across key reporting processes. · Manage month-end and year-end reporting cycles, overseeing deliverable calendars, reviewing all outputs, approving supporting analyses, and ensuring that
cross-functional teams meet internal and external deadlines with consistency. · Lead process mapping, documentation, and control assessments across end-to-end fund reporting workflows; identify control gaps, design remediation strategies, and strengthen governance and risk management practices. · Drive knowledge development across the reporting function, contributing to methodology enhancements, best-practice documentation, training modules, and capability building for junior and mid-level staff. · Oversee reporting calendar management and operational planning, ensuring capacity planning, resource allocation, timeline coordination, and proactive risk identification to avoid reporting delays.
