Role Title: Release Manager
Program: ServiceNow OSS Transformation
Location: Offshore
Role Summary
The Release Manager will own the release governance, planning, coordination, and deployment readiness for a large-scale ServiceNow-led OSS transformation program. The role ensures that all ServiceNow platform, workflow, integration, and data releases are controlled, tested, approved, and deployed with minimal business disruption. The role sits at the intersection of release management, change management, environment coordination, and stakeholder communication across service operations, architecture, development, testing, and infrastructure teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end release calendar for ServiceNow platform and OSS transformation workstreams.
- Coordinate release scope across ServiceNow enhancements, integrations, CMDB updates, workflow changes, and data migrations.
- Manage release readiness across development, QA, UAT, security, and production support teams.
- Ensure alignment with change management, CAB approvals, and deployment governance.
- Coordinate cutover planning, implementation windows, rollback plans, and hypercare support.
- Track release dependencies across ServiceNow, OSS/BSS, integration layers, and external vendors.
- Maintain release documentation, including release notes, runbooks, deployment plans, and sign-offs.
- Drive defect triage, release risk management, and escalation resolution during deployment cycles.
- Produce stakeholder updates, executive status reports, and release risk dashboards.
- Support post-release reviews and continuous improvement of release processes and controls.
ServiceNow Focus
- Manage releases using ServiceNow Release Management and related change workflows.
- Work with release tasks, change items, and scoped work artifacts in ServiceNow.
- Ensure release governance is embedded into the ServiceNow operating model.
- Support process discipline across incident, problem, change, and release practices.
- Partner with platform, product, and architecture teams to ensure releases are traceable and auditable.
OSS Transformation Experience
- Experience supporting telecom OSS transformation programs, ideally involving ServiceNow, service assurance, fulfillment, and operational workflow redesign.
- Familiarity with telecom domain integrations such as OSS/BSS interfaces, inventory, orchestration, order fallout, and service management processes.
- Understanding of how release changes affect operational support models, service desks, service assurance, and field/service delivery.
- Ability to coordinate across vendors and technical towers in a multi-system enterprise landscape.
- Knowledge of telecom change windows, operational risk controls, and business-critical production environments.
Required Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of experience in release management, deployment coordination, or change/release governance.
- Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform delivery or enterprise TSOM & TSM programs.
- Solid understanding of ITIL release, change, incident, and problem management practices.
- Experience in complex transformation environments with multiple dependent releases.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, environment management, deployment planning, and production readiness.
- Ability to manage multiple releases in parallel under tight timelines.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and issue/risk management capability.
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow platform knowledge, including Release Management, Change Management, CMDB, and integration workflows.
- Experience in telecom OSS/BSS transformation or digital operations programs.
- Exposure to tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or equivalent release tooling.
- ITIL certification and/or ServiceNow certifications preferred.
- Experience with offshore delivery models and global stakeholder coordination.
